The small "brush" and shovel are particularly useful when the screen cannot be opened to sweep out sand/dirt. The bristles of the brush don't last long when cleaning inside corners. The larger tool is stronger and is very good for making longer grooves. If you can raise the screen and have a strong brush that you don't need for painting, then you don't need this set or any other more exotic one. But without a brush, it's the best.
