First off, let me say this is my first diamond painting (although I've since ordered 5 more, I love it) so I can't directly compare it to other manufacturers' products. tl;dr version: Super fun project and if you can get over the frustration of trying to read the characters on the screen, you will end up with a really pretty picture. -- Image -- First of all, I'm very pleased with how the finished product turned out. The colors are pretty vibrant (they don't exactly match the colors in the original image, but they're close enough in my opinion) and the drills have a nice shimmer. As you can see in my second photo, I deliberately chose this painting because it kind of resembles my dog (miniature schnauzer/pitbull mix) and I think he likes it :) My biggest criticism of this product is the symbols on it of the canvas indicating which color to use can be very difficult to see. Using the LED panel to trace has made this much easier, but some of the characters are still difficult to see. For example, one is a blue circle with a black S and the other is a blue circle with a black C of exactly the same color; You have to get close to tell what's what. The print on the canvas isn't very clear either, so some of the letters are a bit blurry even up close. For me that's not the deciding factor and as I said, I'm very happy with the result, but I think it was worth deducting a star. -- Drills -- There were several broken drills. in each pocket but there were plenty of extras in each color so that wasn't a problem and at this price I was expecting at least minor manufacturing defects. Some colors were very consistent in size and shape, while others showed slight variations. Although this has led to that the drills didn't always fit snugly, but I didn't have big gaps, so I'm generally happy with the quality. My opening statement, now I'm addicted to diamond painting. It's tiring and monotonous, but that makes it really calming, almost like meditation. I liked doing it while listening to Youtube or Netflix. Sometimes I don't want to spend a lot of time and energy on something artistic, so it's nice to be able to blindly follow the instructions and end up with a nice picture :) If you really want to get into diamond painting, I recommend investing in a copy pad , even if it is small/cheap. This makes reading the color symbols on the canvas much easier. ) If you want to get into diamond painting, I recommend get some tracing paper, even if it's small/cheap.
