I like the cover, it's thick and soft but strong. All seams are sealed and look very high quality. There was a paper insert with a response to previous reviews about the bag smelling. I felt it was quite responsible of them to respond so thoroughly and I'm happy to report that I smelled absolutely nothing. It was wonderful. They did mention on the small liner that they used charcoal to remove the smell and there were small tiny gray stains (see pic below) but I don't look in my suitcase often so that was fine with me. My 17.3 inch laptop fits in very well. , with a small gap around the perimeter. The water resistance claim seemed true as I accidentally got it wet while washing dishes and it actually first collected water and then soaked it up. but I don't think it ever got in. It will probably take a drop in the tub to do any real damage eg) I'm sure everything will be fine. But I don't think there is a case that could endure more than that.
