The product does everything we expect it to do and it does it very simply. The software manages storage and editing. One downside for us is the fact that there was something in the documentation that led us to believe that the recorder had an input connector for an external power supply. It is not. We concluded that connecting to an external source is inexpensive and convenient because (1) it saves the purchase of batteries; (2) Each presentation will be recorded each week. The battery indicator works well and as long as you keep an eye on it the batteries can be replaced. You can also charge rechargeable batteries using an external mains plug (however, the dictation machine is not supplied with power via this plug).
