I was lucky that based on some other reviews I decided to order a size down. They are one size larger in length, but have a normal width. They're comfortable when worn and I've seen them run in them on occasion, but mostly just for walking and everyday wear. They come with a set of laces but the lace holders aren't that heavy and the laces are mostly for show because if you tie them too tight you won't be able to put them on. The outsole looks softer than it actually is, so it's not going to save anyone's old knees or absorb much of the impact of running. I think they would make good boat shoes as they can get wet and are light weight and fairly grippy. As for dressing and undressing. There must be a trick that will make it easier for you to get dressed. The hole at the top isn't the biggest and doesn't expand as much. So I found myself really pulling and things like that to put them on. Not an easy task and not as easy as I expected. Getting dressed takes almost as long as putting on shoes with a tie. Overall, they pair well with blue jeans and last a decent amount of time as they're pretty well made for what they are.
