I bought these for the protection they offer and the good reviews, of course I think that's why everyone buys them. But I find them very hot and overly uncomfortable. They are huge and clumsy. It feels like I have 2 casts on both legs almost to the knee. They remind me of the oversized snowmobile boots I wore up north as a kid. But ultimately I can't shift my Honda CBR with them, they don't fit under the derailleur and the derailleur on this bike isn't adjustable. I wear a US size 10 1/2, I'm a size 11 and they pinch my toes on my right foot. I don't care about them when downshifting either, as I don't feel the shifter with my foot. The boots are well constructed and I have no doubts that they offer excellent protection in the event of a fall. My complaints are more of a personal nature, I have too many cons to justify compared to the price I paid. Maybe I didn't understand it when I decided to make this purchase and I had different expectations than you. I'll just have to keep looking or try smaller shoes. Just a note, mine never clicked as I see others complaining about it
