Light moderation does not work

After two days of use, I noticed that there is a strong bright light for my children's eyes. I try to turn off the lights but it's still as bright so I go to the settings to darken the reading view and the screen goes completely BLACK and there's nothing I can do about it, I've tried restarting force and nothing works.
