I previously had a setup with two Samsung S27D590P 2x27" monitors for about 6 years until one of them breathed its last a few weeks ago (the lights on the top went out). up to 32" with freesync. I looked at the 32" G7 but wasn't blown away by the serious flex and the $700+ price, then I found this 32" G5 with the same flex, laughs, but hundreds cheaper. Looked fairly new as there weren't many reviews so I took the ad. The 32-inch monitor wasn't even on the Samsung monitor side, but it was fascinating. When it arrived and was opened it was really easy to carry and move even by hand when tilted. The kink actually helped make it a little more comfortable landing on the desk as it wasn't as wide as it would be if it were straightened out Panel eventually went to sleep, very strange, see separate review) My 5600XT and its Radeon software recognized the monitor and enabled freesync on the spot Monitor. Now my main "fun" use case for this monitor is playing classic arcade games through MAME, which I've been connected to since 1997. Arcade's Golden Era games don't hit a 60Hz refresh rate, so it was AMAZING to finally be able to play these games without the tricks to compensate for the non-standard refresh rate. Things like Mortal Kombat at 54.70684 Hz and Pac-Man at 60.6060 Hz improved immediately as you could observe smooth scrolling and a distinct lack of tearing. Every game I've played ran smooth as silk, so enjoyable. It's just as impressive for other tasks. If you stick to 100% Windows 10 scaling, you might get more screen real estate than 1080p since it's a 1440p panel. So far I've been very happy with the monitor, especially at a price point under $400. highlighted. (j4.) [Update 11/09/2020] My other 27 inch Samsung also died recently (both a month apart!). So I bought a second G5 and placed them side by side on the table in a nice elongated curve. It's nice to have a consistent dual monitor setup again with the same 1440 resolution. The second panel works the same as the first, luckily there are no dead pixels on either.
