So I bought a $320 Acer 240Hz 1080p monitor, so I expected smooth playback. I was very excited when I opened the box as the Acer's ergonomics and overall quality were very good. All in all, this is a great monitor. Runs at 144Hz but you can easily overclock it to 165Hz and it will remain stable. Samsung has quality products and I haven't had any major issues with the screen. I love the curve and size of this monitor. Cons: Compared to my 1440p Dell monitor, colors are slightly washed out even after adjusting the settings. This is a quality monitor direct from Samsung, I think it gets better quality control or I just got lucky, but of the 5 monitors from Revain this is the first without a backlight. I almost stopped believing it's possible. The stand is very basic, just a slight tilt and that's it. Mine just had to be adjusted to get it to tilt, the tilt mechanism bolts were tight making it impossible.

Overall I really like this monitor. The picture quality is amazing. The main gripe I have is the only function key. It would be nice if the monitor was on. However, this also doubles as an on/off switch. In case the engineers didn't know or forgot, the OSD doesn't appear when the monitor is off. Another issue is the stand designed for this monitor. I first replaced my G5 Odyssey 49" mini widescreen mini screen with a 49" gaming screen (sent back) and now with this one. Due to the different picture quality and other characteristics, I cannot give 5 stars. It's good, not great. There's no true color definition, but I'm used to it from Samsung monitors. 163hz is good but not as good as 240. The price difference obviously explains why they are different. So for the price of this 34-inch screen, it's good.

It's a 1440p, 144Hz curved monitor, so it's definitely made for gaming. Colors and from white to black leave a lot to be desired, but not much. Got it on Prime Day. I didn't have a place to install it where I was and I was planning on moving. It took me over a month to move, finally I made it and hooked up the monitor. It's a HUGE size, even compared to 27 inches it's still a big step up. It's small for a TV, but huge for PC gaming. But I like it. Great gaming monitor and nice curve, but somehow bios is not supported or displayed? Fixed some issues with a different monitor and this issue did not occur. Very strange. All in all a great monitor but make sure you have something else on hand if you want to dive into your BIOS.

I've been using it for about a month now and you can't beat the screen quality, FPS and smoothness of this monitor. I absolutely love it and am so glad I chose this one over the other. I recommend to everyone.

I spent weeks researching and arguing in my head to decide which monitor to buy for 1440 gaming. I chose big dog but not the biggest dog because I'm not rich. I love this monitor! The only two minor issues I have/had with it: 1. At first I found the curve type a bit distracting. This is a non-constant curve over the entire length of the monitor. Instead, the curve is a bit sharper in the center, and that curve progressively becomes less curved as it gets to the left and right of the screen. It no longer works as a gaming monitor, but the screen isn't bright enough even after HDR is turned on in the PS5 settings. You can manually set the screen brightness to 100 but it's still dark.

To get a higher frame rate, you need to use the menu button under the monitor, go to the menu at the top and select "Game" -> "Refresh Rate" -> "144Hz".

This is a great monitor, I have no complaints, I use it with the Xbox X series and it enables all of the console's graphical features.

I love my G5 Odyssey! It does everything it does, but the only thing it doesn't do is spin. Unfortunately you can't change the vertical angle of the monitor and that's why I give it 4 stars :(
