Review on Samsung Odyssey 27" Curved Gaming Monitor with FreeSync, QHD 2560x1440P Display and Adaptive Sync Technology by Tom Winter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great deal when it was on sale

All in all, this is a great monitor. Runs at 144Hz but you can easily overclock it to 165Hz and it will remain stable. Samsung has quality products and I haven't had any major issues with the screen. I love the curve and size of this monitor. Cons: Compared to my 1440p Dell monitor, colors are slightly washed out even after adjusting the settings. (Not a deal breaker, it still looks good, just noticeable against my other monitor) Some backlight shows through in very dark scenes. Overall 4/5 stars as it was only $270 when I bought it so for that price it's worth it. . Obviously the G7 is better, but the price reflects that. For most players, this model will be more than enough. I don't notice much screen tearing in FPS games or sports games, which is nice, so the response time is actually as advertised. I haven't had any issues with durability as some others have stated in reviews. However, I don't use the included stand, but the Vesa mount from my desk.
