After figuring out how to fit it and removing the protective steel plate it was easy to replace. I was offered $700 to replace the shift cable. I had a temporary solution using zip ties and then weed eater nylon. It's a bit ridiculous, it was $30, but compared to the alternatives of temporary stagnation where temporary repairs broke or paying the store to do it, it was undoubtedly a bargain. I tried watching the video but couldn't figure out which way to turn the device when it's plugged in. Little slits at one end make a difference. As soon as you sit down, the loose cable snaps into place and stays in place. Not sure if I need lube but I used it. Makes me think I've been ripped off by mechanics for years.
