Arrived quickly. Read some reviews of other glass cutters exactly where it was a little "jerky" to open them. This "top" opens relatively gently. (That's at least the case with me). But it pulls a little. You need to lift the top a little and then move it. The "sponge" in the lime juice area is removable so you can use it or not. Or take it off to wash. In addition to the salt department, there is a sugar department. Other than that, it's your regular black rimmer that you'll see at the bar. Except when I was bartender, we used to open the rimmer from the top with a touch of a finger. (Never paid attention to what brand they were). And yes, it looks cheap. Not something I would leave in my bar forever. But for the price it serves its purpose. My 5 inch margarita glasses easily fit in submersible fountains. I measured and there is a 1/2 inch gap between the rim of my glass and the inside edge of the rim so you can get a 5 1/2 inch rim there. It would almost touch the edges of the rimmer, but you could do it.
