Review on πŸ“» High-performance 2 Pack AR-771 Tri-Band Radio Antenna for Baofeng UV-9S, BF-R3 and More – Ideal for Amateur Ham Two Way Radio Enthusiasts by Shashi Jain

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A good 2m/70cm ant cannot be attached to all radios

Like: Antenna emits F. Strength is good, 88" good expansion range is better than factory duck . Dislikes: He knocks things over for a long time, but receives signals. First thing I ordered the base for the ant to be "fat", it doesn't sit on my Baofeng UV-9S or UV 5R ht. This was because the molded plastic rim got in the way. BUT wait a minute, that was the 1st Abree defect, a little thicker. It would be possible to cut or trim the bottom but I wouldn't recommend it. I tried my Wouxun KG UVD1P, it is fully screwed on SMA. tests 2m/70cm good Always use national WX channel to ensure you have RX before transmitting. - I ordered a second antenna for another radio to use as dual band. Much to my surprise, I tried it on a Baofeng UV 9S and it fits/fits. The first antenna was widened at the bottom and didn't fit into the smaconnection, but the last one, whose field strength on 2m, 70cm and 22-224MHz performs well. If you can get a good SMA-F antenna from Abbree it's a bargain and I'm perfectly satisfied.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
