Let me start by saying that I'm a truck driver so I've had quite a bit of experience with different types of phone holders over the years. From window mount with suction cup to dashboard mount with suction cup and/or adhesive pads and air vent mount. All have their advantages, but the main disadvantage is that either the suction power is weakened by the constant heat, or the ball joint breaks from the constant vibration and the weight of the phone. I figured this phone mount with cup holder would solve most problems as there would be no heat to loosen the suction cup/gel adhesive pad and little to no vibration to break the ball mount like air vent holders. I was wrong. The design of this coaster is great. It definitely fits cup holders up to 4 inches wide like most truck cup holders. And the grip extensions ensure a really firm grip so that the mobile phone holder does not tip over. My dilemma arose while attaching my Samsung Note 10 to the stand. Right from the start (and I mean the next day) the hand holding the phone stand UP to you didn't stay taut so there was no frustrating movement as there was the completely defeats the purpose of this device. And as soon as you tighten the lever many times because the stand fell off, the tension screw starts to loosen itself and when that happens you are left with a jig that only takes up space in your car because of the stand that holds the cell phone just won't be able to look at the screen when you have to, so I'm not recommending this product to anyone right now.
