Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have SEVEN of them and I LOVE them. some improvements could come along

As a professional videographer, I LOVE these devices (I have seven). They are portable and have become a reliable helper for me at many events. I've noticed that the images written to them appear to have a bit more contrast than the original AVI files (originals burned to a computer via firewire), but they look great on TV. I only use them to capture live DVDs via the composite or firewire inputs. both have been reliable to me and it automatically recovers when the firewire signal from the camera drops (if it does). Another unique and amazing feature is the ability to create your own menu background by placing a JPEG image on your memory card. inserted into the block. And thanks to the built-in LCD screen, I never have to worry about whether the device is actually receiving a recording signal! Features I'd like to see added or improved include: - S-Video input - Ability to manually add chapter markers at the touch of a button (instead of fixed intervals) - Ability to customize "text" in titles played by created by a user on disc -defined "template" instead of fixed naming convention" - option to disable "confirmations" (e.g. OK to format? [yes] Are you sure? [yes] Press button to format [OK] and remember the selected actions as default actions - Add a visual level meter and a headphone jack so I can verify that the sound is actually being recorded on the device LOVE LOVE LOVE!
