This is actually a very good pump for the money. My problem was that I bought mine used and it leaked a lot the first time I used it. I disassembled the pump and found that the shaft seal is missing. Apparently the original buyer sent it back because it was leaking because the package was completely soaked with diesel. I don't know why there was no seal but I contacted Seaflo and they sent me a new seal free of charge. After installation, the pump worked perfectly. I now use it as a diesel transfer pump to fill my generator tank from a 55 gallon keg. Edit: I upped my rating by one star because as I said this is a very good pump for the money. Please note that this pump is NOT self-priming unless it is below the liquid level. The Seaflo instructions sent to me say 3 ounces. of the pumped oil must be fed into the suction line.
