My daughter loves this black light. She placed it over her lizard terrarium. There are a few scattered white jellyfish-like plants that brighten the aquarium and give the desired "avatar" feel. It will bleed out of the tank onto everything white in the room to some degree, but it will have a disco or party effect. Then again, who wouldn't smile when their room looks like they just landed on Pandora? I only rate this 5 stars because the purpose of my purchase was for the terrarium and not to light up your room. She wants her entire room to be themed, so we're going to hang a second lightbulb.
