Plug-in replacement for BMW G310GS Headlight

This was a relatively easy modification. I did this in a series of small upgrades and improvements while completing the first 600 miles on my BMW G310GS. It is possible to replace the headlight at the rear under the instrument panel. Disconnect the connector in the sealed rubber boot and slide the wire clamp aside to remove the old halogen headlight. This LED headlight is a replacement and is subjectively twice as bright and less yellowish. BMW uses LED lighting exclusively on the 2021 G310GS, so later models may not need this upgrade, but it's still a good headlight replacement. I loosened the two screws on the side of the headlight assembly and removed the headlight assembly from the front. Beak. The plastic body panels do not need to be removed. It seems impossible to remove the headlight assembly, but with a combination of skill and selective ultra-force, it can be pulled out and replaced. Removing the headlight assembly makes changing the headlight a bit easier, but more importantly, the new LED headlight does not require a bumper, allowing the three rubber mounting lugs on the headlight bracket assembly to be removed and the bracket reinstalled. Using stainless steel washers for rigid attachment to prevent annoying (and probably dangerous) headlight flickering. I found it very disturbing at night. The flickering was perceived as a movement that kept me distracted, so I paid too much attention to the flickering and didn't see road signs, deer, pedestrians, etc. The flickering also annoyed oncoming drivers, who kept beaming their high beams at me.
