I ordered these bowls because I was tired of taking out my heavier metal bowls. The sizes are great as they range from extra large to a mug size, with the smaller ones also making great cooking bowls. They are incredibly easy to care for and can also be washed in the dishwasher. If you use mixing bowls, remember that they are not very deep, so food can fly out if you're not careful how you mix or stir. I often use them for things like pasta salad, mixing ground beef, pancakes, or even mixing eggs for scrambled eggs. I had a similar set a few years ago but I dropped it on a tile floor and it broke but the Pyrex broke that floor too. The remaining bowls from this first set are still in common use today. I highly recommend these bowls.
