Works well enough not to return but lacks in two areas. First you need to quickly pull the trigger 2-3 times to ignite the fuel. The spark is not strong enough to ignite the Zippo fuel set to maximum flame on the first and sometimes the second pull of the trigger. The second downside or design flaw is the almost useless fuel port. A tiny slit on one side, painted so dark that a very bright flashlight is of little help in determining the remaining fuel level. Once the fuel is finally ignited, it's stable enough and useful that two issues combined with a somewhat steep price tag aren't enough to get me through the hassle of returning it. It is difficult or impossible to drain the fuel and reuse it in another lighter. I guess it's probably not safe to return a fuel filled product that could be dangerous if it leaks or explodes. To complete this review it would be helpful to make the tank opening a bit clearer or position it on either side so you can hold it in front of a light background to check the level. Second, make the spark hotter or whatever it takes to ignite when the button/trigger is first pulled. When I fire it up, it's like a jet engine and gets the job done, whether it's lighting a candle, a fireplace, or a grill.
