Review on Alpine CDE 9881 MP3 WMA Receiver by Richard Cuneo

We bought this receiver as a Christmas present for our daughter - her car radio had a cassette player but no CD player (not to mention an iPod adaptor). She wanted a raise. Ever since we installed it I've been very impressed. We bought (and installed) an optional iPod interface cable, which is very, very cool. Plug the cable into your iPod and leave it in the glove box as the iPod is now fully controlled by the receiver. You can browse all regular iPod playlists, sort them by artist, track, album, etc. Very beautiful. Even charges your iPod when plugged in. The CD player works well with regular CDs as well as those my daughter burns from iTunes on her computer. She is very happy and now her stereo is the best thing in her car. And, of course, listening to the radio, playing CDs or iPods will result in fantastic alpine-quality sound. Now I'm thinking about buying the same for my wife's car!
