Definitely a toy. Not quite vernier gradations. In instrument trading, we called the best of them (Starrett, Brown and Sharpe) "very close". At best, they are accurate to within 0.001 inches. Again, this is a toy. Bought them for my grandchildren. They are graduated to 1/128 inch and 0.05 mm. But good luck reading them so carefully. They're about as accurate as a tape measure. These are toys too. Well, if you need another way to measure and gauge diameter better than a tape measure, then go for it. Before I give them to my grandchildren, I cut off the steel rod that measures the depth. Otherwise it is very dangerous. 4 stars is appropriate if you manage your expectations and the app.
