When I took the product out of the box, I was amazed at the build quality of this docking station! Comes with two USB-C cables and a power adapter to power the hub. I was able to connect my Surface Book 2 to my LG 4K monitor without a power adapter! In order to be able to use the Ethernet port, you need a power supply for the docking station. I was hoping the dock would charge my Surface Book 2 using the same USB-C to docking cable, but it doesn't. Not a big deal as I still have my own SB2 power supply available to charge my SB2. A NOTICE. You use HOST 2 to connect to the Ethernet port. I tested with HOST 1, I don't have ethernet access for my SB2. This docking station has everything you need from USB 3.0 (four) to USB C, plus VGA for those still using monitors that only support VGA! You might as well take your old VGA monitors and use them as a 3rd or 4th monitor for your laptops to free up more desktop real estate! Being able to use up to 4 monitors is amazing. I don't have many monitors at home to check all this. The bottom line is that I am proud to use this dock, its design is so different from other docks. This is noticeable and the build quality is excellent. This is ideal for those who can take their work laptop home and use it to set up their own workspace while working from home, especially during the pandemic. Would I buy again in the future if I had to create a second job.
