Update: Pitcher broke after about 2.5 months of use. The base is too thin and the glass shattered when placed on the countertop leaving a horrible sludge of cold coffee. The jug is light, but that's where its positive qualities end. Secondly, maybe it's easy to wash it by hand. It looks like the jug is about to break as the sleeve is quite narrow and not strong enough for this amount of liquid. The big problem is that the plastic seal doesn't sit deep enough. You get double flow every time you pour and you can pour easily.
