Filter destroyed after about 1/2 can of butane

Once I started using it I really liked it. However, very hot, manageable weight, I felt comfortable immediately and didn't have to get out a wired soldering station. However, after the board was soldered through half a can of triple filtered butane, it started spattering and losing heat, and now it won't melt 0.5mm solder at all. The problem is that I see in the tooltip that the bottom screen is pretty much broken for some reason? I don't think I could do any harm, I was only using it at half power. I would consider replacing the tip but can't find one for this model. So I'm going to return it for 110,000, I think I like the product to the dead tip and I've noticed that the expensive ones have replacement tips. It's funny that on their website they mention that tips should last forever, properly tinned and cleaned. although no filter elements are mentioned in the tip itself.
