I first bought the PATPET 680 P collar because we needed a waterproof collar as we have a boat and a dog that likes to just jump in the water. After much research, I decided this collar was the best choice without spending $100. When the collar first arrived I was very pleased with how small the device was and how lightweight the wearable was. Charging was easy and quick. I put it on my dog and we went outside to try it. Outside, however, the PDA could not be read at all. Went back inside and was able to get ready with no problem. I contacted the seller who said this was an issue they are working on and offered to give me a $30 rebate but I'm returning the collar as I need to see if I'm in shock, send a beep or vibration. And what level am I on? While waiting for the product to be returned I bought a PATPET 320. It seems to be an older version and the collar itself is a bit larger but I wanted to give it a try. The PDA was very easy to charge and I liked that you could charge both the receiver and the PDA at the same time with a single cable. The collar was easy to use and I liked that I could adjust both the vibration and the shock. I really liked that you have to hold down 1/2 to adjust a parameter to prevent accidentally changing it. Our goal is not to use a shock absorber as the collar is needed for recall when hiking and fishing. The handheld is easy to use and easy to read both outdoors in the sun and indoors. I'm sticking with the 320 as my only complaint is that the silicone sleeves often fall off and it's difficult to find replacements. I'm curious if it's actually waterproof when it gets warm. All in all a very good collar for the price.
