I installed the updated VANMASS holder on Wednesday 17th February 2021 was rainy and I didn't heat one garage, I waited the recommended full 3 days before assembling the phone. I was impressed with how the redesigned VANMASS mount sits on the windshield. The adhesive seal was excellent and the easy access suction cup made it easy to rotate the locking ring into the locking position. The suction cup locking mechanism is clearly marked and the instructions were excellent. Sticks very firmly to the windshield. After installing it, I experimented and found that it not only held my phone very securely, but also my iPod Touch and charging case. Great if you want to charge 4 devices at the same time. I mounted the holder higher than most because I'm 6ft 4ft tall. My wife is 5ft 3in so all she has to do is loosen the head nut, loosen the knob that allows you to zoom in or out and adjust it to your liking. I am very impressed with the design, functionality and quality of this upgraded VANMASS device. It is well made from strong and durable materials. The phone holder's pads are very strong and release with the push of a button. The pads on the underside of the mounting pad are also padded and there is plenty of room for all the mini cables to access your charger. I have a sports car with virtually no cockpit storage. That would be great in it too. A few installation tips first the attached instructions for writing. Whether you mount it on your windshield or dashboard, you can't get it too clean. Use alcohol swabs, not soap, to thoroughly clean the mounting area. There is a chart in the instructions that shows the schedule for the "healing" sticky pad. They recommend three days, but in some cases you can install it earlier. I highly recommend going for the 3 day option unless you live in your 70's all day at this time of year or have a heated garage. You can't go wrong if you wait 3 days. The sticky pad can also be submerged in clear, clean water and reused as needed. Try this phone holder. You will be happy and I know the company stands behind their product 100%.
