I use them for their intended purpose as I am a member of the US Air Force Civil Air Patrol Crew. They are the same as the Mil Sage, except for the black ones. They are designed to protect against flashes of light in the event of a plane crash and to warm your hands slightly. Don't buy them as winter gloves, they don't protect against the wind and only provide warmth inside a building, car or plane.
