Apple Pencil will not charge with this case

After 3 months Apple Pencil will not charge with the case. It only charges when I remove the case and attach the Apple Pencil directly to the iPad. The case is still good for protecting your iPad and for traveling with an Apple Pencil, but not for charging. I would not recommend buying.
