It was a poor quality experience.

I was planning to wrap the hood, roof and trunk in this matte purple metallic finish. It's a really great color, but I've run into a few issues with this material and I'm saving the worst for last. First I wrapped the hood as you can see in my photos. For the most part it went well. I had plans (I'll get to that in a bit) to repackage it for a smoother finish as my dad got a little carried away with the heat gun on the front. Now I'm not sure. See, I've noticed that what you're getting is a bit contradictory. I used the second roll to cover the roof. I noticed right away that the packaging wasn't that sticky but figured that with some sun exposure it would still stick. Luckily it was particularly sunny last weekend. Unfortunately it hasn't changed anything. I went to work this morning. Nothing exciting, no freeway drive, because it was drizzling and drivers in Miami panic when it rains lightly. However, when I got to work, I noticed that parts of the film had been torn out inexplicably at various points. It looked disgusting. I tried it and noticed immediately. The packaging wasn't sticky at all. I thought this case would be a bargain. It is, but it is also a bit of a gamble. I have a third roller that I wanted to use for the trunk. Let's see what happens, but right now the chances of it actually catching on are about 50/50.

Pros
  • Vinyl wrap and accessories
Cons
  • Older model
