What I like: - Solid performance SSD - Can actually run a full 4K monitor - Can play 4K YouTube videos - Plenty of ports and expansion options - Suitable for lightweight Games (see Notes below) - Well done. What I don't like: - The fan can get noisy when updating games or Windows. I've had several of these mini PCs from many brands over the years and have always been amazed at how much they increase performance. despite its relatively small size. This Beelink is a bit bigger than my previous one, but it's significantly faster as it can play 4K YouTube videos in Firefox! The reason I choose these mini PCs over something like an Android TV box is the Youtube ad blocking and the ability to install programs like Photoshop for light editing or Steam for light gaming, so a solid state Drive with a lot of memory fiction. Let's take a look at some of the things that struck me: The build quality of the device feels solid. The top has a matte finish and everything is wrapped in plastic. The front has plenty of easy-to-access ports (USB-C, USB-3, headphones) and a power button with a bright LED. the LED is super bright, it can be noticeable in pitch black, but if the computer is in a TV cabinet like mine then that's not a problem. The fan can also make itself felt during quiet passages in films, especially when the computer is working hard playing a high-resolution file or running a Windows update at the same time. I put it in my TV cabinet and it muffles the sound. I don't listen to it for the most part (e.g. on Netflix, Youtube) but just note that it appears sometimes. Windows comes out of the box with no manufacturer malware. This is a huge bonus. SSD is much faster than eMMC. Mixed Games. Considering that the performance of this computer is on par with a mid-range laptop, it can handle light games quite well. I've found it to play most older games particularly well at 720p and on many emulators (Playstation, NES, SNES and the like), but heavier games will definitely require a resolution downgrade or be unplayable. Some games are played in 1080p at 30 fps so it's playable, but I prefer 720p. Keep in mind that it doesn't have a dedicated GPU. I haven't tried it with an external GPU yet. I'll add some of the games I tried later. Overall I'm very happy with it as it serves its purpose for me, mostly watching Youtube, Netflix and occasionally opening Photoshop to send silly memes to my friends. If you're realistic about the level of performance, that's great. I think it could also serve well as a kiosk or PC selling point as it has a mount for that too.
