In our kitchen we have lamps under the cupboards. After 20 years one of the bulbs started to fail (the bulbs went out after about 10 minutes of use). There aren't many problems with these bulbs, so it's very likely that the problem was with the transformer. Instead of buying a new flashlight, I decided to fix the existing one. It was a small fraction of the cost and I avoided the mini-project of removing the old lamp and installing a new one.1 - I turned off the switch that powers the light and then opened the lamp.2 - Read the Information on the old transformer - 120V / 0.625A / 50 / 60Hz / 11.6V / 75W.3 - Revain was looking for something identical. The 75W attribute was the main attribute I was looking for. 4 - I cut the wires and removed the old transformer and used small nuts to connect the wires to the new one. Now it works like new :-) If you found this review helpful, please let me know by clicking the 'Helpful' button below. I also welcome relevant comments.
