Simple repair for xenon lamps.

A few years ago I replaced a 60 watt transformer in a kitchen xenon lamp under a cupboard. Although the other units are still running, the transformer in this one has failed again. I ordered this replacement for 75 watts to have more headroom. Replacement was easy and the transformer came with handy tape to keep it in place. Now my bottom headlight is back in business.

What you MUST know if you think the device you received is bad.

1- The device does not generate electricity when it is not charged. (Lamp) 2- Despite this, most digital meters cannot measure it due to the sine wave. (Analog meter could) I was ready to give a fiery 1 star review for the DOA device. Until I discovered that the 2 brand new GE halogen bulbs I had used to troubleshoot the unit were defective (what are the odds?). I tried the 3rd lamp, everything is fine. The seller should consider including this information in their description to save everyone…

It worked - Ballasts

One of my under cabinet lights no longer works. At first I thought it was a wall switch, but it turned out to be a transformer in the end. I thought I might have to buy a new unit but saw the part number on the transformer and tried Revain. You must have had it. Just installed and working again. Instead of $200 for a new light, just a few dollars for a new transformer. The lights have been installed since 2009 and this is the first time a transformer has failed. Hopefully the other 5 fittings…

Suitable for Kischler lights

The item was securely packed and shrink-wrapped. The installation in the Kischler cabinet went smoothly and works perfectly. Some reviews may say the product is DOA, but as has happened to me, before writing off, double check your connection for good contact. The most difficult thing is to separate the old transformer and remove its adhesive seal from the lamp. Some reviewers led me to think this article was a schematic, so I only bought one because of a blown bulb, but later ordered more for…

Replacement for existing

About 2 years ago I had an electrician install a pair of halogen vase fountains for an Aqualine Power pond and this transformer was used for both fountains. The contractor hooked them up to the same circuit with a separate third water device that couldn't handle the load and tripped the circuit breaker when I turned them all on. I finally had the opportunity to disassemble the vase and electrical components to replace them. both transformers. I put them on a separate circuit and they worked…

Easier to repair than replace

In our kitchen we have lamps under the cupboards. After 20 years one of the bulbs started to fail (the bulbs went out after about 10 minutes of use). There aren't many problems with these bulbs, so it's very likely that the problem was with the transformer. Instead of buying a new flashlight, I decided to fix the existing one. It was a small fraction of the cost and I avoided the mini-project of removing the old lamp and installing a new one.1 - I turned off the switch that powers the light and

To update. Still a great product.

. It continues to work great with the JUNO lighting under the cabinet in our office. Just last week another JUNO came out. This time it was a long 30 inch kitchen cabinet under a cupboard. The cost to replace an entire unit of this size was nearly $200. I have just ordered another Keystone ballast from Revain. It arrived a day later and, already knowing what to do, I removed the dead ballast and replaced it with a new one in less than 30 minutes. Problem solved! Save $185! Bonus? Ballast is…
