Review on Thermaltake Black 3.5 Inch to 2.5 Inch SSD HDD Bay Conversion Kit AC0014 by Dante Obong

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bay converter 2.5 " to 3.5 " - good quality but 3.5 " MTG tap not rough

New C-RAID with (2x) 2, Seagate Momentus XT 500GB 5" drives - to take advantage of hybrid SSDs (next time I'll go for the 750GB XT or latest build!), - reduce the total storage in the case - save a few watts over previous hard disk drives - and also work better on the case fan from a kit with a beautifully designed box, screws and detailed assembly instructions. For me the assembly instructions are too much information considering this is for a mechanical part that requires no more than 12 screws. Ikea will have a page with 3-. 4 pics and a wrench with screws ;) Installing my (2x) 2.5" hard drives with included screws was a breeze (with my own tools) - no problem here. But then I wanted to use the screws I had. from my cage tower. The 3.5" mounting holes in steel are prepared for a typical 3.5" hard drive with fine threads instead of coarse threads. Luckily I was still able to use the included fine thread screws, otherwise I'd have to go to the hardware store to order get longer smaller washers 4 out of 5* so far - does what it's supposed to do, no sharp edges and heavy paintwork to keep it from rusting I would give 5 out of 5* if they shrink the paper to the instructions to follow and add a secondary hole pattern for the coarse thread to use my body bolts hope this review helps!
