Great rear seat cover, especially for those with leather seats!

Before I bought this rear seat cover for my 2011 Subaru Forester I did a lot of research on the internet. I've also bought and tried a few other covers at local pet and auto stores. This is by far the best quality, design, and fitting lid I have found. I have leather seats and a cart around the 90 pound lab almost every day. I think he managed to poke a small hole in the seat with his fingernails so it was very important that I get a good cover that protects the seat and doesn't slide around all over the place. The part of the cover that is on the underside of the seat is soft, so I feel like it's protected from his nails. The part that covers the back of the seat isn't padded, but it's still made of a relatively heavy material that offers protection from water, mud, dog hair, etc. I'm not sure if it's washable, but I suspect it's possible to at least wash your hands if it gets really dirty. I wouldn't tumble dry it, but I could try putting it in the machine on the delicates setting. The rubber bottom really stops it from sliding around the seat. There are neoprene "straps" on the underside of the cover that are supposed to hold the corners on the bottom of the seat, but due to the design of my seat, they don't work in my car. This made that part of the case slippery so I put a piece of non-slip mat in that area and that helped keep that part of the case from sliding. I really like that the cover has an edge that covers the front and sides of the seat instead of just hanging down in those spots. This design pretty much keeps the lid in place and prevents it from opening the seat even if a dog walks on it. My dog didn't really like the sound and texture of the casing, it's a bit "crunchy" so I put a towel on him and he lay down and fell asleep. I think he'll get used to it. The upholstery was significantly more expensive than others I looked at, but the small touches are definitely worth it, especially if you have leather seats. I think I'll get another one to have in reserve for when this one is in the wash. I will also buy for my husband's car. I highly recommend.
