Review on ☕ Gibson Elite Soho Cafe 21oz Multicolor Mug by Tim Ram

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love these mugs - better handles can be used

I love these mugs. The black finish is very cool and I love the colored finish on the inside that looks like glazed ceramic. They're quite large - the largest Keurig size in my office is 10oz so even with some milk it only fills the cup half way but that's okay (it's actually nice to be able to use the large size on a coffee maker, instead of chugging your coffee to the brim). While the bottom is quite "thick", the actual base is no larger than a standard mug, so still fits in my Mr. Coffee Mug Warmer. warm enough to drink for a long time (I don't work for Mr. Coffee, just an extra recommendation for office coffee lovers). My only complaint, and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the pen has a slightly odd shape. I like the way it looks, but the standard "half-assed" cup grip allows you to slip your first two fingers through the grip and then place the bottom of the grip on your ring finger (try this with your standard finger) . mug, I'm waiting.) But with this D-grip, I can't comfortably hold the handle on my ring finger, and, combined with the slipperiness of the surface and the weight of the mug itself, not to mention it's packed with 10- 20 ounces of coffee. or tea - it's hard to hold so it doesn't tip over. So I switched to using three fingers on the handle and occasionally resting my thumb on the rim of the mug to keep it steady. And the handle isn't big enough for my three fingers (which are pretty average male hands), so even that handle is a little tight and uncomfortable, but I found it to be the best way to hold that large mug. But that's actually a small point of criticism, since the cups are really good and I like everything else about them. It's just something you should be aware of.

Pros
  • CARE INSTRUCTIONS: fun mugs that are also dishwasher and microwave safe
Cons
  • Not automatic
