There really is no better compliment for a product than the purchase of another. Here's the thing. I bought my first Andobil (Car Phone Mount Easy Clamp) in January 2020 and installed it on my dashboard. I love this thing! It holds my phone securely and is easy to use - even with an OtterBox Defender (iPhone 8) connected to it. When my wife asked for one, I decided to stick with what works. I bought this model based on the design of his car (Honday Accord) and it was important to securely attach it to the vent. The clamp is what I expected, reliable and easy to use. The release switch is on the bottom left and works as it's supposed to - uncovers the side panels and allows for quick device removal. The mount slider that grips the vent works very well. Turning the knob on the vent mount releases more of the slider when you need it longer. To secure it, simply turn the same knob until it tightens. Once tightened it sits very well on the dashboard. I want to mention one thing: make sure the vents are in the desired position before installing the clip. Depending on the distance between the ventilation holes, they may not adjust after the mount is attached. Once the mount is in place, all you have to do is adjust the phone plate in the right direction and angle. You do this by loosening and tightening the phone plate knob. Dead easy. As mentioned above, I've been using my previous holder for a year and it still works as I expected. I expect this one to do the same.
