About 20 years ago I had an earlier version of this Sony that still works great in someone else's house. I am pleased to report that this new Sony model (CFD-S70) that has just arrived scores equally well in the areas that are important to me: CD/cassette player sound quality, good AM/FM reception, cassette recording capability. unit revolution. So far so good for me and this new Sony in relation to some of the customer complaints detailed in some of the previous reviews (interference, hiss, limited volume, no cables or manual, poor secondary source input, tape corruption). I found none of these shortcomings in this small but solid device, which I have extensively tested in all these points. If spontaneous failures occur in the future I will report this as long as Revain continues to sell this unit / post relevant customer reviews.
