Recommend carafe over glasses

Good decanter, but glasses have thick seams as the rim chips easily. Two of mine arrived already battered despite the very good packaging. I have several Bormioli products and this is the only inferior one. I like all the others I've tried including several styles of glasses.

Pros

The carafe has a glass stopper with a plastic insert to keep it fresh. Everything tastes better in a glass.
