This "cooling” pillow actually does keep me cool at night. It doesn’t actually feel cold to the touch, what it does though is NOT make me hot and sweaty while I am using it. I had ZERO success with that when I tried several other CPAP/neck relief pillows. With those I had to cover their pillow & case with one of my own pillow cases to try to cool it down.This pillow has a lovely smooth case that is comfortable to rest your face on and is tightly fit to the pillow (so no bunched up fabric to make marks on your face).It stays cool all night long and helps me TREMENDOUSLY in avoiding night sweats.It also has a good height and density, which makes it comfortable to sleep on when I am lying on my side. This is also the most comfortable pillow I have ever had for back sleeping.Due to nerve damage in my lower back I have been forced to become a back sleeper. This pillow cradles my head and the sloped portion keeps my neck relaxed and aligned all night long. I do not feel the need to reposition the pillow, to fluff it or raise it up, or to flip it over to find a cool spot.I have woken up once or twice with a stiff neck but I don’t think it is the fault of the pillow. Most likely I have shifted into an awkward position and been too sound asleep to notice.This is a solid choice if you are looking for a firm and cool pillow to ease your neck pain or to make sleeping with your CPAP machine comfortably.
