Bought two of these. When I plugged in the first it initially worked fine as I plugged it into a dual HDMI adapter and the second which my son used for his switch. When I switched the adapters to a USB-C hub, the SD card reader didn't work, nor did the USB 2.0 devices connected to the hub. When I connected the hub directly to my laptop, there was no problem. I replaced the cable my son was using and it worked fine. It turned out that the first cable was defective. It's too late to return it so it's rubbish and I'll buy my son another brand.
