Review on Sailun Ice Blazer WST3 225/50 R17 98T winter by Wiktor Uhlig ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

Put to replace the 14 summer tires BRIDGESTONE. Not a single spike was left on the latter, although the tires themselves were still nothing. But 14 years is a long time and something new and with spikes is better. Put Sailun and immediately went to test the snowdrifts in the garden. The first thing I felt, on the way to the garden, was that the tires were well cleared of snow, I could hear the noise from the fender liner, the work of the flying snow. They paddle well in the snow, better than the old ones. On hard rolled snow, the car feels more confident, does not float as before, responds to steering turns faster and more confidently. The sidewall is moderately soft, and like the tire itself. Worth disk protection. The old Bridgestone also has protection, but the sidewall is more massive and thicker. Or earlier they did better or the company affects. You can't hear the Sailun tires in the snow, it starts to buzz on the asphalt, thanks to the spikes. Not critically strong, maybe then they roll a little. In front of the recumbent, the ice slows down, the abs is already rarely triggered. It drags into turns in the snowy mass, but judging by the conversations of colleagues at work, it drags everyone, on any car and rubber. Therefore, it is better to drive with your head in winter, keep your distance and drive below the speed limit. Bottom line: tires meet the basic requirements of winter driving and at a delicious price. The manufacturer has been on the market for 20 years and supplies to European automakers, the number of studs is more than average. Considered between Viatti brino and this one. Chose the Cylon. Three years ago I would not have looked at China tires if two years ago I had not put Chinese summer tires in place of Cordiant sport3. And I was very pleasantly surprised by the Chinese tires. There is no desire to buy Cordiants anymore, they are even inferior in quality of rubber. Therefore, the approach to the Sailun was balanced and understandable. Tire for quiet winter driving. If you are racing, braking hard and picking up speed, then it is better to consider others. And if you calmly and with your head, the tire is very good.

Pros
  • Passability on the snow mass, the price is moderately soft.
Cons
  • Noisy on asphalt.

With such a profile, it tears rubber at an average hole, broke 2 cylinders per season .
