My colleague has 5 years climbing experience and we check all gear before each use. This locking mechanism failed while my employee was in a 40ft tree! This mishap resulted in my colleague sliding about 18-20 feet out of the tree before he was able to drive into the tree and back up far enough to stop the fall. If Doble was not wrapped in wood, but rather a fishing line with a metal clasp at the end, this incident could have been very tragic. I tried to request a refund but the app closed and I don't have a choice. .
