I bought this to have more than 1 SD card in my computer, it worked fine for a few days and then I stopped using it. When I needed it for my new MacBook Pro it was terrible. It would take forever for the reader to read my SD card, and more than half the time it didn't even read it. Sometimes it read and then randomly disappeared from my computer. The reader feels cheap, it's already falling apart, and it looks like it should be 50 cents instead of $10. So if you want to buy something good for your computer, avoid this one. Don't waste money.
