Review on PAPALOOK PA552 Webcam Streaming + Ring 📸 Light, Dual Mics, Full HD 1080p, Tripod Included by Heather Wagner

I have tested this camera on both Windows 10 and Mac laptops and it works fine in both cases. It has a normal field of view, minimal distortion at the edges, good automatic white balance. I'm uploading a sample video captured with the default camera app on Windows 10. As you can see from the screenshot, the camera runs at 24fps, not 30fps as advertised (the camera app settings are 1080p 30fps in both cases). . When testing in Skype, my microphone sounded very muffled on both computers. The Mac's built-in mic was much clearer/louder, and in both cases all gain settings were set to automatic. With this camera you will definitely need an external or built-in microphone. A backlight with 3 levels of brightness (switching on each touch from off-1-2-3-off) is a nice trick, but probably not very practical as at 2-3 levels it gets annoying when viewing the screen and the colors wash out a bit . If you don't have an overhead light at all, it'll probably work for your late-night video calls as long as you're okay with the light hitting your face/eyes. PS: I also compared this camera with the Aoozi 1080P HD webcam. this one is much better in comparison.
