The seller doesn't mention the amount of continuous fan noise from this unit. It's not deafening, but it's still clearly noticeable. Over time, it can become barely noticeable background noise. But not yet. Also, the round tinted disc that covers the display was in my pocket when I opened the box. I actually still had the opportunity to return it for a new product. Or I can clean the disc, put some glue on it and put it back on. I'm thinking about it. UPDATE: This device has failed after two months of continuous use. First the display failed and no longer showed the exact temperature. never mind It was still cold so I didn't need to take my temperature. Everything died after a week. Of course it was outside the return window, but Revain customer service agreed to a return. I miss him. After looking for ice cubes in the freezer for the past two months, I had to order a replacement. Yes, for better or for worse, this thing is made in China. However, unlike the first mug cooler I bought which arrived in less than four days, the replacement comes from China itself. Delivery time around a month and a half. I see he just cleared customs at JFK. I hope I don't have to send this one back.
