The chair itself comes in 4 parts. The base, the back and the side supports of the back. Easy slip on pieces and quick assembly. Took more time getting it out of the packaging than it took to put together.The chair itself is very plus and comfortable. I moved over my old back posture pillow and now it feels like a dream.The recliner is safe and comfortable as well and sits low enough in the upright that it easily fits a desk.Con- No Wheels. Which I knew this when buying the chair, and this is more for a console use not desk use.If you plan on using it for desk use, get yourself a plastic mat and then some soft pads to slide it easily.
