Review on 🎧 Master & Dynamic MW65 ANC Wireless Headphones – Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones with Mic – Lamborghini Black/Yellow Alcantara/Black Metal by Manuel Gfx

All headphones in this price range are NOT created equal!

After reading several articles online about the best wireless ANC headphones in the $300-$400 range, I've picked three to try: - Sony WH-1000XM4 - Master & Dynamic MW65 - Bowers & Wilkins PX7 A pair from Sony arrived first and my first thought was that while they had lots of cool bells and whistles (touch volume controls, auto pause when you take them off your head) and very effective ANC, they sounded surprisingly flat. Even after trying different equalizer settings in the Sony app and on my iPhone, the sound was decent, but not good enough for a $350 pair of headphones. And the most important thing in headphones for me is the sound quality. I couldn't help but wonder why these headphones have such good reviews for sound quality when they just sound bland to my ears. All bass and mids, very little treble clarity. It seems to me that most of the money on this pair has been spent on fancy features, not sound quality. Next came Master & Dynamic MW65, a newer New York company that I hadn't heard of until this week. . Aside from the absolutely gorgeous design (not the most important thing to me, to be honest), I was simply amazed by the full, rich sound and the crystal clear sound quality, especially at high frequencies. Absolutely beautiful, balanced, natural sound - unlike Sony. Bass and mids are important, of course, and they have plenty of lows, but if, like me, you want precise, clean, open highs (so you can really hear all those thin cymbals and hi-hats), then they're going to blow your mind . . To be fair, they don't have many of the fancy features of other headphones in this price range (and they don't come with an app that I'm happy with), and ANC isn't as effective as Sony's. . But the thinner ANC also makes music sound great. They're also the only pair of the three that didn't come with a hard case (the case is soft), so I'll spend another $25 on a case to protect them. You're worth it. I just wish they were super soft in-ears, not in-ears. The leather on the ear pads is very soft and they're definitely comfortable (even for someone with big ears like mine), but I feel like on-ear headphones would be more comfortable after a few hours of use. The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 is finally here. I had high hopes for them based on their reviews and B&W's long standing reputation. So my biggest surprise was when I put them on and they sounded as flat and boring as the Sony. In fact, after comparing AB, they sounded almost the same as Sony. Also, the B&W app was buggy and awful and didn't even include an equalizer. (Instead, I used the iPhone's settings to adjust the equalizer, but that still didn't help black and white much.) Master & Dynamic was the clear winner of the three, out of competition. It amazes me that Sony and B&W headphones get so many rave reviews from people who rave about the sound quality. I can only imagine that everyone's preferences are different, but probably the people who wore and enjoyed them didn't really compare AB to other brands. Comparing Master & Dynamics to others really struck me what the other two couples were missing.
