Review on 📲 Scosche HA1559B Double DIN Dash Kit: Compatible with 2007-11 Honda CRV, Black by Robert Demissie

I installed a Scosche dash kit on our 2007 Honda CRV LX SUV paired with a Pioneer AVH-280BT 2 DIN DVD Radio. Installation is fairly easy and requires minimal tools as the CRV dashboard does not require any special tools to access the OEM radio. I used a plastic trim remover to access the four 8mm screws holding the OEM radio. Once terminated, the device can be pulled out of the dashboard with little effort. I think I should give a fair warning to anyone using this kit to install a secondary radio in a 3rd generation CRV. Once you've taken care of all the wiring (main wiring harness, antenna wiring harness, Bluetooth microphone, USB extender, rear view camera, etc.), connect them to the inside of the car. Start building your new radio with both the Scosche kit and the stock radio. I found that with the included hardware that came with the radio, it was sufficient to attach the two plastic brackets holding the new radio and bezel together. Attach the brackets loosely so they can slide back and forth easily to measure the depth of the new radio. Once that is done set it aside and start working with the removed OEM radio as you will be using the transfer parts. ) and remove the four Phillips screws securing the bezel (save these four screws as you will reuse them). Carefully remove the four white locking tabs from the OEM faceplate (slowly spread them just enough NOT TO BREAK THEM! and pull out). These white clips need to be transferred to the scosche bezel to hold it in place. Once the white mounting tabs are in place, use the four screws and attach the Scosche faceplate to the new radio. Fit the supplied double size bezel and seat the new radio flush with the bezel/bezel assembly. Tighten the 6 screws/bolts on the sides of the new radio to secure it in place. Complete the connections at the rear of the new radio and press the entire faceplate firmly against the dash and tighten the four 8mm screws to secure the entire unit to the vehicle. Be careful not to pinch the cables on the back of the radio. Do a test run to make sure everything works, then replace all panels back in the car. For the most part the finish on the car looks very good with only minor imperfections. First, the plastic mounts don't match the originals very well. Assembly. Luckily, since they're plastic, you can "bend" them to screw them on. Second, the trim ring around the radio fits the radio perfectly. This isn't really a problem as our double din has no moving parts, but the landing feels more 'forced' for lack of a better word. This can be a problem for other devices that slide out to reveal the drive slot. Third, the top left and right corners don't match exactly, leaving small gaps in those corners. It's not really noticeable unless that's what you're looking for, but it's like a sore thumb for me since I installed the radio myself. All in all this is a good kit for installing a new 3rd generation radio. CRV. The color is perfect, the fit is almost perfect. I hope this review will save future users some frustration as I have done some trial and error for you.
