. However, the color is fine and is unlikely to be noticed by anyone other than the installer. It matches the matte black color of the head unit, so it looks mostly factory. Unfortunately, it seems to be a depth issue. After assembly, the lower part of the front panel protrudes a few millimeters from the upper one. I'll probably go back and make adjustments with a rotary tool and file. I had to sharpen the beveled corners where the main unit meets the bezel. In my experience, none of this is…

Looking for the right set? This is the one.

I received a free Honda CR-V in-dash receiver kit (P/N 120997873) from Crutchfeild and it was a total disaster so I've been looking for weeks looking for a good kit. That's it! This kit has 4 mounting points on the frame and 2 holes for hidden support pins in the dashboard, just like the OEM stereo! That's 6 points supporting the weight of your stereo! That way you know it can easily handle the weight of a heavy double din unit. It required some attention to align the side screws that connect…

Don't pay attention to bad reviews!

This is the perfect mount. I have a 2009 Honda CR-V. You will never guess that this is not OEM. In the past I've only used Scoshe. (Always on Chevy cars and trucks. This mount has the same quality and features that I'm used to. I read another person's review that was very helpful, so I'll do this for you: 1-Remove simply the original bracket from your radio.2- You MUST remove the 4 dash clips from the old bracket.Do this carefully with a flat tool.I would recommend a regular chopstick or other…

Pros
  • Allows installation of a new aftermarket stereo system at the factory.
Cons
  • Updates

I installed a Scosche dash kit on our 2007 Honda CRV LX SUV paired with a Pioneer AVH-280BT 2 DIN DVD Radio. Installation is fairly easy and requires minimal tools as the CRV dashboard does not require any special tools to access the OEM radio. I used a plastic trim remover to access the four 8mm screws holding the OEM radio. Once terminated, the device can be pulled out of the dashboard with little effort. I think I should give a fair warning to anyone using this kit to install a secondary…

  • Color and texture match the factory dash

Look for alternative kit

Installed on a 2007 Honda CR V EX with a Pioneer AVH-211EX. As for the plastic brackets on the stereo, the screw holes would not match the car bracket without causing the plastic to bend significantly. Then the front plastic surround also needs a lot of work to match the stereo's plastic brackets. I removed the plastic brackets and used the factory metal stereo brackets instead (photos show the difference on the front of the unit). The front plastic rim is NOT the same as the factory plastic as
